The Maryland Cannabis Administration (MCA) has released a draft of proposed regulatory amendments affecting various sections of the Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR). These updates are part of the state's ongoing effort to refine its cannabis oversight framework.

The proposed changes cover a wide range of administrative and operational rules, including sections 14.17.01.01 through 14.17.01.21. The MCA is currently inviting stakeholders to review these drafts and submit public comments to ensure the regulations align with current policy goals.

In addition to substantive policy adjustments, the amendments include technical clarifications intended to correct typographical errors and improve the clarity of existing rules. This process is part of the MCA's standard procedure for maintaining a functional and transparent regulatory environment.

Stakeholders and interested parties were encouraged to submit their feedback by October 7, 2026. The MCA will review all submissions and address common questions through a forthcoming Frequently Asked Questions document to assist licensees in maintaining compliance.
