Six people from Detroit are facing charges in connection with an alleged armed robbery at a commercial marijuana facility in Warren, Michigan, early on Oct. 14, WDIV ClickOnDetroit reported on Oct. 16.

According to police, the suspects arrived at the facility on Lorna Avenue near Van Dyke Avenue just before 3 a.m. in a U-Haul truck and a Chevrolet Camaro. Police said one suspect held a security guard at gunpoint, forced the guard to hand over his weapon and ordered him to lie face down on the ground before the group allegedly forced their way into the building.

As officers responded, a patrol car was struck by the Camaro, and two suspects were arrested, police said. The U-Haul then traveled south on Van Dyke Avenue, leading officers on a chase until tire-deflation devices forced the truck to stop near 11 Mile Road. Police said the remaining four suspects tried to run but were arrested. Officers reported finding more than 200 pounds of stolen marijuana in the U-Haul, along with other evidence linked to the alleged robbery.

The six were charged on Oct. 16, according to WDIV. All six were arraigned and each received a $500,000 bond, with a GPS tether required upon release. They are scheduled to return to court on Oct. 29 for a probable cause conference.

The charges are allegations, not findings of guilt, and the report did not list any pleas.
