On Sept. 16, Michigan's Cannabis Regulatory Agency fined processor Michigan Investment 10 LLC $2 million and closed and revoked its processor licenses
The agency said the company violated state laws and numerous processor rules; the orders took effect Sept. 24.
Michigan's Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA) announced on Sept. 16, 2026, that it had closed the adult-use processor license of Michigan Investment 10 LLC, revoked the company's medical processor license and imposed a $2 million fine.
According to the CRA, the final orders were issued by CRA Executive Director Brian Hanna and follow an administrative proceeding arising from two formal complaints against the company. The agency said it found that Michigan Investment 10 violated state laws and numerous administrative rules governing cannabis processor operations, following a contested case hearing before an administrative law judge with the Michigan Office of Administrative Hearings and Rules.
"These were egregious violations, capped by the fact that their camera in the extraction room was pointed at a wall instead of the activity it was supposed to monitor," Hanna said in the release. "Michigan's cannabis laws and rules are designed to protect public health and safety and ensure accountability throughout the regulated market. When a licensee disregards those requirements to this extent, the CRA will take appropriate action."
The CRA said the matter previously led to a summary suspension of the company's licenses on Nov. 15, 2023. After a Dec. 4, 2023, post-suspension hearing, an administrative law judge dissolved the suspension on Jan. 12, 2024, and a contested case hearing was held Jan. 8-9, 2024. The judge issued a proposal for decision on June 18, 2026, recommending findings that the company violated the cited provisions, and the CRA said it accepted the judge's findings of fact and conclusions of law. The orders took effect Sept. 24, 2026, according to the agency.
Later developments: On Oct. 1, 2026, in a separate case, the CRA issued a final order revoking the adult-use retailer license of Budbridge LLC, doing business as Muha Meds Ypsilanti, and imposing a $251,250 fine for seven administrative rule violations, according to a CRA release. The agency also announced on Sept. 29 a separate $2 million fine and the revocation of 20 medical marijuana grower licenses held by Clare-based GP Holdings LLC, doing business as Millie Montana Industries. A search on Oct. 17, 2026, found no reputable report of a ruling on any appeal of the Michigan Investment 10 orders.
