On September 18, 2024, the Alcoholic Beverage and Cannabis Administration (ABCA), supported by the Metropolitan Police Department, executed search warrants and served closure orders to two businesses: All American Papers and StonerzDC. The action followed the businesses' continued operation as unlicensed retailers despite previous cease and desist orders.

During the operation, investigators reported observing illegal products in plain sight. At StonerzDC, authorities recovered nearly a kilogram of marijuana laced with amphetamine, along with various THC-infused edibles, wax, and entheogenic mushrooms. Similar quantities of marijuana, vape cartridges, and mushrooms were seized at All American Papers.

No arrests were made during the closures, and the investigation remains ongoing. The business owners have the right to request an emergency hearing to contest the board's decision. These closures represent the third and fourth such enforcement actions taken by the agency under new civil enforcement powers granted in July 2024.
