Justin Lane, the operator of the High Hopes ICT store chain, has pleaded guilty to federal counts of marijuana trafficking and firearm possession. The plea follows a November 2025 operation where the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office, the ATF, and the Wichita Police Department raided six store locations and private residences.

Federal prosecutors stated that Lane distributed products he knew contained THC or marijuana, despite marketing them as hemp. As part of the plea agreement, Lane has agreed to forfeit all firearms and cease claims that his business operations were legal under hemp regulations.

Lane faces a potential prison sentence, with formal sentencing scheduled for a later date. The investigation involved the use of major shipping carriers to distribute the products across state lines.
