On October 14, 2026, the Colorado Springs Police Department, assisted by the DEA and the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, executed search warrants at five "Speedys Smoke Shop" locations and two "Los Compadres" liquor stores. The enforcement action followed a year-long investigation into alleged illegal sales to minors and the sale of unlicensed marijuana products. During the raids, authorities reported the seizure of over 2,135 pounds of THC products, 469 pounds of 7-OH products, and 4.2 pounds of psilocybin products. Officials stated that none of the involved locations were licensed to sell marijuana. No immediate arrests were reported at the time of the operation, though police indicated that narcotics distribution charges are expected against those responsible for the businesses. The investigation is ongoing, and no findings of guilt have been made.
